Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser using your own device — your image is never uploaded to a server, so it stays completely private and the result is ready immediately.

Can I make an image larger, not just smaller?
Yes — the percentage slider goes up to 200%, and you can also type in pixel dimensions larger than the original. Keep in mind that enlarging a photo beyond its original size can make it look softer or blurrier, since no new detail is being added.

What happens if I convert a transparent PNG to JPG while resizing?
JPG doesn't support transparency, so any transparent areas will be filled with white in the output. If you need to keep transparency, keep the output format as PNG or WebP instead.

Does locking the aspect ratio affect the presets?
No — the aspect-ratio lock only applies in Pixels mode. Presets and percentage scaling use their own fixed proportions.
